Quimper vs Brest

One of the most hyped up games of the year for the guys is Quimper vs Brest. Quimper is a city nearby and I guess there is a kind of rival between the towns. So the game is huge. It was packed. A lot of Brest, fans came too. So me, Tae, Jinessa, Tyra, and one of the other girlfriends Leila decided to drive to the game. My camera battery was dying so I didn't get a lot of pictures, but here are the few I got. Of Tae and our car. Above is the coaches daughter, Edell. She is the one that was making Tae laugh so hard in the video. Tae is getting very independant. He wanted to crawl everywhere. I had to pull him back to where we were sitting a number of times. As you can see in the background all of the fans that were there. And to the right are where the handicap sit. Tae also wanted to climb on their wheelchairs... haha I caught him before he could get there though. They had little pom-pom girls that go and "cheer" during breaks. Well, Tae really liked their pom-poms. It was funny, I mean look at them of course he thought they were interesting!

Unfortunately, I don't have any actual pictures of the game, I kept thinking my camera was going to die. But when we went out to our car we had an unpleasant surprise waiting for us. In France, there are very few rules about parking. You can park either way on a street, no matter what way side of the street is going. You can park on the grass, on the sidewalk, pretty much anywhere, although we have gotten a few tickets. Anyway, since the game was packed there were no more regular parking spots left so we had to park under a tree on the grass. It actually wasn't that bad of a spot so I thought, great! Then when we came back from the game this is what we found...

And then of course, anotehr one of Tae. He fell asleep in the car on the way home, so cute.

Bath Time!

This is Tae taking a bath. He is always so cute when it is bath time and bed time. This one is him brushing his two little teeth like a good little boy! He loves his bath time, specially his little toys that Grammy bought him. For some reason I can't upload the videos I have right now, but I will try again later! I can't wait to see everyone in about 16 days!!! Happy Holidays!!

He is so happy!! Loves his bath!

Brushing his teeth, he likes his toothbrush, start good habits early!

Day at the park

This is the day at the park with the little guy. We have him bundled like Randy on a Christmas Story. But gotta stay warm. It is freezing sometimes, specially for us Californians. There is a video of him crawling and looking at all the leaves, but for some reason it wouldn't download. It is starting to rain more here, that is there winter since we are so close to the ocean. So we have to get out when it is nice, which here is about 50 degrees!! Anyway, enjoy!

Random Pics

Here are a few more Tae pictures. Just random ones. He likes to get into the drawers and cupboards and everything. So I let him as long as I am there watching what he is touching. There is a picture with two other girls. One is the coaches daughter and the other is Jenissa's daughter, Tyra. It was her birthday. There is another little boy here. He is about 15 months. It is cute to watch Tae watch him. But Tae was crawling around and the other little boy thought it was time to play ride the horsie. He was trying to sit on Tae, it was so cute and funny! Tae just looked confused. The last ones are of Tae after he is done eating. So cute when he is tired he rubs it all over his face! Enjoy!

St. Renan & Le Couquet

Hello everyone! I am so excited that people read this blog so that you all can stay updated on our lives and see pictures of Tae. News about Lavar's knee. He just got an MRI today and all the tendons look good. He does have a little bit of a cartlidge problem, like he had in college. They are going to take him to a specialist so that they can decide whether to give him shots for the cartlidge or just let him play. So that is great news and thank you for everyone's prayers! Now about the pictures. We have taken a few little trips lately and these are some pictures. Lavar and I took Tae to the beach. Not quite like our beaches, but it has a lot of boats and cars that drive by and that is all Tae cares about. He is getting his teeth so everytime he smiles he looks like a little grandpa! It is so cute! The beach and the ports of Brest are all right together so that is why there are so many boats behind us. It was cold so we didn't end up staying long.

The Jenissa and I decided to go to a market they have on Saturday mornings in a city nearby called St. Renan. Well we couldn't find the market at first but we had just bought some bread and then found this pond. Jenissa wanted to feed the ducks. So we started feeding them and there were some huge ducks off to the side. She then wanted to feed those ducks. SO I was standing by the car waiting as she was throwing the bread, then the ducks were getting a little aggressive. The huge ducks started following her to the car where I am standing holding Tae and I have his stroller! So gets her daughter in the car and I am struggling to get the stroller to the car and hold Tae. So I handing Tae off to Jenissa and got the stroller in the car. Then the ducks came up to the window. So Jenissa wants to feed them out the window! It was so funny. Anyway, they wouldn't leave until I started the car and it scared them away. Everyone else at the park was sitting in their car. Maybe because they already knew about the monster killer ducks! Well then we found the market just down the street but it was closer because we had wasted so much time that morning!

Today we took a trip to the cliffs of Le Couquet (or something like that). This is Tae all bundled up with his little grandpa smile. It was beautiful. We didn't find the cliffs, but we found a bakery! Delicious. Anyway, it is also famous for it's crepes which we didn't have any of either. But we will have to go back, it was a nice little city. The pictures I have from there are of the scenery and of when we went down by the docks. There were a few sailboats and across to the next pennisula you could see a light house. I think the port at Brest has a ship that sails for Plymouth. So Jenissa and I might try that at some point.

More Tae Pictures!

Hey everyone!

I am going to post all the recent pictures of Tae. I am not going to write a lot so you can just look at the pictures. He is crawling like a regular now, trying to stand on everything. I can feel his two bottom teeth almost coming through!! SO much drool, but no teeth! So though, I think very soon. He has adjusted well, and I can see how he will speak very good French because when little old ladies stop me in the grocery store to tell me how cute he is, they only speak French!! We bought him a basketball and he loves to watch it roll. He also loves to watch the washing machine. You'll see! There is also a video at the end. It is of Tae trying to stand up! Enjoy!

Our Friends in Brest

There are so many pictures I have to post today, I might even post another one after this with all my Tae pictures. These pictures are of our friends in Brest. Most of them are on the basketball team, well all of them. I did start a volleyball team though, so hopefully I can make new friends through that. The first picture to the top is of Ronnie Taylor. He is the point guard of the team. He won at bowling so that is him being #1. Next to it is the picture of him and his girlfriend, Jenissa. The picture to the right is Jenissa holding Tae. She is a lot of help and we get along well. We mostly hang out with Ronnie and Jenissa. Ronnie is from South Carolina. Jenissa is here from Germany, originally Latvia. Jenissa has a daughter named Tyra. The picture under this is of me and Lavar when we had a bowling night. There is a bowling ally near us here in Brest. Something to do which is nice. The next picture is of another player, Randy. He is from Atlanta. He is very tall and skinny so they call him Slim. He is a funny guy. I actually baked a couple cakes for him. He is single and never cooks so I try to help him out once in a while. The next picture is of all the boys at the bowling ally. Lavar, Randy, and then Ronnie in order. Ronnie won that night Lavar in second and Jenissa and I fighting for third! I think I got it once and then lost the other game. Sad. Then there is a picture of Randy with Tae. He has a son that lives in Alaska, so he is actually pretty good with Tae.

One Sunday morning the boys had to go to the "beach" which to all southren Californian people, and Bahamians means a fun practice at the beach. Well not in Brest, France! It was cold. There is a picture of all the guys in the water. It doesn't look like a nice day either. Well it wasn't. This is a picture of me, Jenissa, and one of the other players girlfriend who came to visit. She is French but lives in DC. We came to watch for some reason. Tae was still in his PJs with a big coat on. We had just woke up when it was time to go. Now the next pictures are of me and Jenissa when the boys were gone. They decided to go to Paris for the weekend and we were left at home with the kids! :( But that is okay because I am going next weekend and leaving Tae with Lavar! So for our weekend at home we decided not to cook, we do that everyday, but to go out to dinner. We found this little spot at the end of one of the main streets. To our surprise, quite a few people were speaking English. Our waiter did as well. Little refreshing when all you hear is French. We also had the coaches daughter with us. Jenissa was babysitting. She is 7 I think and speaks French and English fluently. Which is what Tae is going to be doing I am sure.

This last picture I thought was funny. I guess we caught Tae at a funny time. That is one night where everyone came over, our apartment is the hang out spot. I really don't know what he was doing, but it is so cute! That is all for now. I will post all the pics I have of Tae soon. Thanks for reading, and the prayers and support! Love you and miss you all!
